Oh...it had better at least be on the Gcube, cause I can't imagine having to buy a whole nother system just for this game (although I probably would.)
I would be happy with a release date of Summer 2004, but there's no way in hell that'd happen. -_-; *Sigh* too bad. -------------------- PSO...still alive and kicking |

You know, now that you say that, it does seem like it. There's like a pink blur to the right of the hunter. And there's also a dark figure right in front that isn't getting knocked on his ass. lol...it's like we're scavanging for any and all PSU info. -------------------- PSO...still alive and kicking |

~after reviewing all available trailers about a bazillion+ times, it's logical to say that S-team is further along in development of PsU than originally specified.. after all, the tid-bits of gameplay sequences speak for themselves ~ meaning that they have fleshed out a graphics engine with rendered archetypes performing some amazing combos.. Oo also, online/offline play is more than likely - the hint is given at the beginning of the direct-feed trailer ~ PsO 2? lol, that's an enticer that will grab our attention most certainly...i would be very surprised if online/offline play wasn't incorporated..
... however, it's uncertain if PsU will arrive as a final-gen game before the advent the next-gen consoles; or, perhaps PsU will pioneer the next-gen as a first-gen game.. =. |

Hmm...a Next gen game? Assuming the game is incredibly premature in it's developement, that is a possibilty. If the game is far more fleshed out then we are led to believe, it would probably appear on one of the systems soon. Most sega PSO games have been on the gamecube and Xbox.

~true, & since no next-gen news was unveiled at this year's e3 (thus far, anyway..) - we could all be very fortunate to have PsU before the next-gen consoles arrive..

ok... so according to usenet, PSU has been given a tentative date of Summer 2005. They also only mention PS2, but that could mean anything. As in the console wars are still as strong as ever in usenet world.

Yeah its sorta like when PSO Ep. I&II was coming out for XBOX.
Anyone remember, "OMG XBOX TEH GET PSO2!!@@"? Then everyone just shuts up when it finally came out. Hehehe. So for now, everything goes in the BS bucket. -------------------- |

A year? We have to wait a whole year? I don't think I can take it. Well, I guess that gives me plenty of time to wrap up with ep I&II then. I wonder how many people would still play it once this game is released. I'm betting next to none. -------------------- PSO...still alive and kicking |

That is a legitimate fear.
Just look at how TFLO (xbox mmorpg) is going. We've known about this game for well over a year now and it keeps getting pushed back and back and back. It now has the same mid 2005 release for the USA. I understand that companies want to create as much hype as they can for the newest game, but it's almost like a "crying wolf" syndrome. After awhile, we are just like, "pfft... whatever." Does anyone here at AT even own the Xbox PSO? If so, what's it like online? I have heard nothing but bad things, but it can't really be all that bad! I keep seeing it for super cheap and for some @#$%ed up reason I have to slap myself into NOT buying it! Completist? Moron? :D -------------------- |

I have PSO for the XBox and I love it! Voice chat is the greatest of all things, and I really enjoyed it in the game. There are always some annoyances to put up with, stupid people and kids and such, but you get that no matter what. It just takes these people a little longer to type out their comments than it does to say them. Still once you got into your room with the four people, it was a lot better and chat really helps out games like this. Which is one of the reasons I can't wait for TFLO if it ever comes out (which I am starting to doubt).
