Moatoob: Access Granted!
Due to increased guerilla fighting between rogue groups on Moatoob, GUARDIAN forces have had limited access to the planet. With the escalating SEED crisis currently affecting more and more of the Moatoob wildlife, rogue groups have reached a cease fire and are now requesting aid. Flyer routes to Moatoob have been re-secured for GUARDIAN missions and will be available on November 17.

New Guardian Missions Since the SEED attacks, the native life of all three planets has grown increasingly aggressive and Moatoob is not the only planet in need of GUARDIAN assistance. Parum and Neudaiz are also requesting additional support in a variety of new missions. All GUARDIANS are expected to launch an offensive on the incoming enemy hordes as soon as possible.

System Defense There's been an outbreak of vicious creatures near the confinement system in West Kugu Desert. The Alliance Military is requesting help.

Mine Defense
An outbreak of violent creatures near the entrance of a prominent mine has put miners at risk. Exterminate the creatures and defend the mine!

Valley of Carnage
Recently, the vicious Vanda have been forming packs and causing great damage around the Galenigare Canyon. Defeat the Vanda leader!

Desert Terror
In the West Kugu Desert, the vicious Dimmagolus has become even more ferocious due to the SEED and is terrorizing a nearby energy plant.

Parum and Neudaiz
Not to be left out with the addition of Moatoob, both Parum and Neudaiz have new missions for GUARDIANS. On Parum, new reports have come in of a very large Koltova spotted beyond the Lakeshore area. All GUARDIAN parties should exercise extreme caution if this beast is encountered.

On Neudaiz, an area of Sacred Ground is in jeopardy! All GUARDIANS are requested to assist in clearing a dangerous RELIC site. This dangerous mission will take a strong party with excellent teamwork. We advise that only the strongest of GUARDIANS attempt this challenge.

Where are the expert classes? No new clothes? WTFM8?
I really hope 1up.com just botched the info up, because if we're not getting atleast the exact same content update as the JP first did, thats fucked up. Or am I mistaken and this was all they had as well?

Well, in anycase... it should be another 2 and a half weeks or so until the 2nd update if the schedual mimics the JP updates.

Posted by: Knightsword Nov 15 2006, 06:50 AM

The expert classes came in the second patch for the JP version which came out a week after the Moatoob patch

Posted by: ZioII Nov 15 2006, 08:05 AM

Oh... cry2.gif

I'll be greteful for any new content honestly, but thats another week and a half of no exp kills. Which I can only blame myself... and HC... and Crush... screw it, I'll blame all of you!

Guess I'll just continue to farm, synth and prepare equipment for Fortefighter... or Figunner. Whatever.

Posted by: HC82 Nov 15 2006, 03:19 PM

Well, I look foward to doing the new areas just to get a feel for them, but I don't see myself playing them a whole lot intill some more updates occur (ie. expert class).

Posted by: Crushinator Nov 15 2006, 07:37 PM

I knew this was going to happen... What a pain in the ass.

Well like HC said, at least we can get a feel for the new zones. Plus we finally get to try some Guardian missions! And of course...

MOER RAERZ!!!!

Sucks that we still can't use those A-rank weaps though crash.gif

suckers? wtfm8? tenora works weapons own!

Posted by: Knightsword Nov 17 2006, 06:59 PM

I was refering to the online mode, since nobody could ultilize them untill the patch do not being able to grind them, so before the patch Tenora weapons that were available were weak compared to grinded GRM and Yohmei weapons

Indeed, first thing I did was grind both my shoties up to 4 now that I was able to. Can start working on buying the 5* shotie board and synth some B to use as well. Or well at least when I get un-lazy.

Posted by: Alisha Nov 17 2006, 07:49 PM

im usually afraid to grind past 3 very high chance of sucess my ass! may the online luck thingie will help with that.

Posted by: Oddies da Nerfed Nov 17 2006, 07:52 PM

Buy some +10 grinders, use a 3 luck char and be sure you have enough money to replace the wep. Then have at it.

Online luck is a fucking crock. I had max luck, and B+8 grinders and lost 2 fucking swords on the 4th and 3rd grind, respectively.

Posted by: Alisha Nov 20 2006, 08:23 AM

offline you can only buy up to +3 grinders. in story mode you can get +5's for s-ranks but in extra mode you have to craft for anything higher than 3. good luck with that though since 3 of my extra mode characters are lvl 100 with all A rank and S-rank weapons. if i wanted to cheat wich i dont i could just save before each grind till i get to +10 >.> but who cares my beast hunter has over 1000 atp i could use c rank weapons and still own the hive.

Posted by: Crushinator Nov 20 2006, 07:41 PM

Offline mode must be some kind of weak baby joke if you already have 3 characters at level 100.

And online you can never just buy grinders, you always gotta craft em.

Posted by: Alisha Nov 22 2006, 08:24 AM

more like i've been playing it i9nto the ground everyday when i get home from work.

Posted by: tanshin Nov 22 2006, 09:08 AM

and none of us do. nope.

Orca Fox lvl 55 human hunter.
Alisha Rev. 2 lvl 50 cast ranger

if you are wondering how i have so many chars i swap saves between my memory card and my ps2 hdd

Posted by: Crushinator Nov 30 2006, 03:35 AM

I know offline is super-easy and all, but damn with all those characters you still have played a lot of time. PSU is cool, but damn, isn't THAT good. You are going to be burned out on the game when you finally get online, not to mention in for a shell shock at the difference from offline modes.

What exactly is keeping you from getting online and playing the real game? No broadband in your area?

Posted by: Alisha Nov 30 2006, 05:31 AM

theres currently no lines in my house so they would have to install them. plus i need to buy a ethernet card for my pc + cable modem + router. wich is money i cant spare till after christmas because i have a big family.
(6 brothers ,1 sister, mom, dad, 7 aunts/uncles,2 grandma's,girlfriend) christmas always crushes my wallet. i'm considering hoping back on ffxi just for the month of december or something so i dont burn myself out on psu.

christmas is the only downfall of having a large closenit family. but it also means i get lots of presents :o

Posted by: Crushinator Nov 30 2006, 07:21 PM

Why don't you use the time you play PSU to get a 2nd job part-time and rake in some extra money then? Even if you only work it for like 1 or 2 months you'd easily be able to afford all the shit you need to setup cable, or buy extra presents or whatever.
