So how we all enjoying the MAG event? Over on 360 land I've been having a blast. Found some twin r00by bullets and managed to make it into the Time Attack leaderboards. We where in the top 200 at first but now we're barely in the top 500. :( 454

We are very pleased to announce that Maximum Attack G is being extended on all servers until June 6th, 2008! Due to a billing issue preventing a number of PC/PS2 players from playing, we felt this was the only fair solution and also offers some extra time for all other players to enjoy the event and take advantage of the exclusive and unique prizes. Points earned during the extension will continue to add to the cumulative event total.

Leader boards, Old and New:
The current leader boards will continue as planned, and will end on May 22nd as they were originally scheduled. At that point they will be archived, and all players who put forth the effort for ranking will still win prizes as scheduled once MAG is over.

Once the extension begins, we will also be starting up an entirely clean set of total kill count leader boards with the same prizes, so there will be equal room for all players, including those previously hit by error 65, to compete until the event is over. Individual characters who were previously in the top 500 leader board will not be eligible for the second kill count leader board.

Sounds pretty planned out and good to go right? Then suddenly tonight:

We are unable to provide the Maximum Attack G extension tonight as promised. While we still would like to run the extension for those who were unable to fully participate in the four week event due to our billing problems, we now have to adjust our plans and see how this will affect our schedule for new content.

We are well aware that the community is fed up with continuing problems and the lack of adequate explanations, but we still do not have an answer for you.

SEGA and Sonic Team are still working on the billing system, as well as many other PSU and network issues, and we are trying to get an official statement from SEGA management for you.
