Iam still amazed that FSOD is rampant in PSO. Anywho, it's usually caused by entering a crowded lobby. If alot of people are sitting in chairs, it's a higher chance to FSOD. It has to do with the GC loading up info into its RAM. I don't remeber exactly but if it loaded to fast it can freeze.
If your getting FSOD alot when you join your favorite crowded block (ex. anatares 8) go to a less crowded lobby, like lobby 10. You'll notice right away that the game loads up almost instantly. That way after you enter a game and leave it, you'll be transported to the empty lobby, No FSOD, and no hassle of losing items. When you first choose to join a block after logging on to PSO you'll be forced to join the first lobby of a block. Even if you do FSOD you won't lose anything. When you try to join a block after logging on to STs servers you technically can't give your items to anyone(since you haven't even joined a block or a game yet). So FSOD won't cause you to lose your items since you couldn't of even had to chance to cheat in the first place So you pretty much have nothing to worry about if you always join empty lobbies. And even if you do FSOD when you first choose to join a block you won't lose anything since you just logged on to PSO. Only things you have to worry about is when your game just freezes up for no reason. It happens, but very rarely. If you get hit my this type of FSOD your pretty much scrwed out of any items not equiped on your character. Only thing you can do is contact me and tell me what you lost so I can replace it. |

I'm not really surprised, but from what I hear it's fixable. Just make sure you bank any extra mags you're feeding >.<

Here's another nifty tip, If you need to get to a block but its really crowded and you fear a FSOD is near just goto a block that has very few people on it, then goto Choice Search and check if anyone with choice search on is in the block you want to goto in a lobby that you don't think is too crowded.

Thanks for the info HC82. One time my game got stuck on the "warping" screen while we were teleporting to Dark Falz...
The game didn't freeze, but it was loading for 5 minutes before I gave up the ghost and hit the reset button X( P.S. Thanks for the tip about using mechguns on Ult. Really helped me get through mines offline -------------------- |

I think I'm just cursed. I swear I fsod every time I play online for over a couple hours. It's usually when I leave a team to enter the lobby (makes awful buzz noise), or loading into the boss area. I really don't know if this is just a glitch or what, but its pretty damn annoying.

Bryn: I have the same problem. Just make sure you go to empty lobbies when your at a crowded block. So when you leave your game your GC will not have to load much and you won't FSOD.
Crush: I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was going to falz and the game wouldn't load up. I don't think I lost anything usefull, but I was still pissed. Second time I lost some good stuff when teleporting to pioneer 2. The game froze right before it was supposed to save. So iam generally very cautious about what I take down to ragol. Which sucks because carring numerous amount of equipment to swap during battle enhances your charcaters performance. I don't worry about it too much anymore |

That happned to me twice. Once at Olga Flow, it just kept loading, and loading... SO it pissed me off, and I turned off the game. What really fried me was that it made me lose my level 200 mag I just finished raising, even when it was equipped. 2nd time was at Vol Opt, and that made me lose a Red Scorpio. -.- I don't carry more then one weapon when I head into boss fights anymore. (That's when it only usually happens it seems) :/ -------------------- |
