Just watch this fucking awesome video and your jaw will fucking drop!
What? He got rocket boosters?? Did he just ninja kick that guy? Was his gun transforming when changing weapons? Did he just grab a missile and redirected it at the thing? OH SHIIIIIITTT!! I expect nothing less from Platinum Games. Also, the president looks like a younger version of the president in 24. "We WILL stop that from happening." -------------------- |

Soooo I finally finished this game yesterday. I got it Tuesday, but I took longer than usual to finish, mostly because I suck at shooters haha. With that as a background, I love this game.
It's always frantic and intense. Along with the crazy pace, there are some awesome stages to go along with what's going on. There's a good amount of weapons too, and switching to a set of 3 to fit the situation is vital. It also seems Platinum Games learned how to handle QTEs, as they're all handled with the same commands throughout the game. Fights with bosses and large enemies is also badass each time, and most the cutscenes in the game are SO S rank. On top of all this, the story and characters have the "awesomely corny" thing going on, which I dig haha. What I didn't like is that the game ends before you figure it should, you're left wondering "wait, what?". Also, I loved the melee moves, but using them at all causes overheat. Not a deal breaker, but I wish they would have tweaked that. Overall, the reason I even played the demo for this game was because Platinum Games developed it. With Vanquish, they've for sure cemented themselves as a developer to watch for this generation. Lastly, I know AC bought the game, did anyone else? It's awesome and you should grab a copy if you haven't. -------------------- |
