I suggest you make a Strike mag now before the update. That's where the money is. People pay outrageous prices for 40% to 50% elemental weapons. Especially the elements like fire and ice.

Pure strike mags aren't to bad too make. You feed your PM a mix of Monomates, Trimates, Moon Atomizers, and other Strike raising crap. Monomates, Dimates, and Moon Atomizer gives you the MOST bang for your buck. The thing is you need to lower the TECH build up. So you feed it hunter weapons to lower tech and continue to build Strike, as well. That's where things can get costly, even though all those restorative items drop in game quite a bit, the weapons don't.
Strike PMs aren't generally too costly, because it's being fed a mix of restorative items and weapons. Restorative items can be easily found just by playing the game in any difficulty, especially solo, so that helps minimize costs. Also, remaking a Hunter character nets you 5 monomates and two 1* hunter weapons, if you really want to be cheap about it. Also, the clothes and armor sell for 500 to 100 each, since people use it to make armor PMs. Just becareful not to accidently overwrite your character when remaking characters. People have done this before by accident, because they are rushing and not paying attention. C rank weaponary is the most economical choice of weaponary to feed your Strike PM. Everytime you take away from TECH, it means you can feed your PM another restorative item that raises a lot of STRIKE and a little bit of TECH. Since restorative items are findable very easily, that means it's like giving your PM free STRIKE every time you lower TECH. To make sense of the above for you: Monomate +4 STRIKE / +1 TECH Dagger +4 STRIKE / -1 TECH TOTAL STRIKE =8 TOTAL TECH =0 C rank hunter weapons can be synthed pretty cheaply. You can buy a whole bunch of 1 to 3 star weapon boards, put them in your PM and synth out the weapons much cheaper then if you bought them in a NPC store. You buy the raw materials from player shops and try to get stacks of 99 x3 (photon, aproline, wenceline, carlians etc...). You'll burn through them quickly, so it's good to buy up to 99 and stack them away in storage and buy more untill you get another 99. The C rank weapon materials are pretty damn cheap in player stores. I only suggest you try to get them in player stores, since the NPC store is a rip off. Just hunt around for good prices, unless the hackers messed up that too. 3* sword/saber gives -2 to tech and +12 to Strike. 2* sword/saber gives -1 tech and +8 strike. Figure out which one is more cost effective for you based on the materials you can find in stores more often. The -2 to tech makes *3 stars preferable PM food and the most economical, although 2* might be cheaper to make because the player store materials for them are usually waaaay cheaper then 3*. It depends on what you can find. Also try to aim for pricing that's 50% off NPC stores in order for weapon synthing to actually be worth it for PM food. Buying weapons from NPC stores is too costly and not worth it. So, it's actually cheaper to buy the C rank synth materials from player stores for dirt cheap (meaning cheaper than the NPC store), buy the boards and make the weapons yourself in massive quantities. Since one board can make 5 weapons with a 90% chance, you can create a lot PM food. If you buy 10 boards, that's 50 tries. So you should make 45 out of those 50. If you DO choose to buy weapons from the NPC store, 1* hunter weapons cost 350 meseta and give +4 Strike, -1 Tech. It's the best bang for your buck if you decide to buy it from NPC stores. ALSO, check player stores for 1* to 3* weapons. Write down the names of the different 1* to 3* weapons you want to buy and search them out. People sell them all the time for cheaper than the NPC. This can save you time from synthing and still get a good deal on weapons to feed your PM. Some people make a living by just selling weapons as PM food. It's a good idea to write down their playernames and visit their stores from time to time. This is most important of all. SPENT TIME. If you're spending a whole hour hunting down player shops for materials, you could of soloed C rank relics 4 times and made 10k in meseta and another 10k in items. Did that whole hour of hunting down items save you 20k in meseta? If not, then hunting out those sweet deals wind up costing you more money than just playing the game and buying the weapons. Do what is fastest for you! If you search for Par Ebon and see a guy selling 30 of them for 30% off the NPC price and another dude selling 2 of them for 50% off the NPC price, just buy the 30, and don't bust your balls trying to find more at that exact low price, when you know it's never gonna happen again for a long time. The exception being that you want more, than you're forced to keep hunting. Anywho, If you saved MONEY AND TIME, A WINNER IF YOU. I try not to spend more than 10 to 15 mins hunting down the needed items for synthing. PM LINK: http://psupedia.info/?title=Partner_Machinery |
