I just got back from seeing the midnight showing of Return of the Sith, and I'm pleased to say that it didn't suck. It didn't suck so much, in fact, that I actually enjoyed it.
I think Lucas allowing himself to make a PG-13 movie let us see the darker side of the Star Wars story, and I liked it. I don't want to talk about the movie lest I give away spoilers and plot points, but I will say this: there was much butt-kicking to be done, and not just by the Jedi. R2 gets in on the action as well, which was comical but thoroughly enjoyable. I'd rate the movies in this order: Episode 4 Episode 3, 5, and 6 tied Episode 2 Episode 1 Edit: Correct grammar saves lives. -------------------- <center>

Empire Strikes Back > all others
I'll likely catch Episode III sometime next week during an offday when it won't be so busy. I went out to a bar last night called the Green Iguana which shares a parking lot with a big movie theater and boy it was crowded. I drove around for 15 minutes just looking for a spot until I eventually just parked in the grass out on the main road. >.< The bar was packed as hell (it usually is on $1 drink Wednesdays), so that area was the place to be last night apparently. ;P -------------------- PSN ID: USF_Tailgater

I saw the midnight yesterday.
I need to see it again to see how I rank it. Empire Strikes Back still owns all. But what I liked about EP3 is that the action is has the same pacing and fun as the originals. Though nothing beats the final duel in Return of the Jedi. Its still the best duel in the whole saga. The birth of Vader scene is good, but ends with the worse cheesy moment in history of movies. More thoughts after I've seen it for a 2nd time. Which should be tonight. Going to see it in digital. -------------------- |

I will say it is definitely the best prequel movie of the three. There were certain parts of the movie that I really enjoyed...but at the end of the day I feel it’s still plagued with many of the same problems that left me cold with the other prequels.
I’ll say no more for those who have yet to see it. ^^ |

If you get a chance to go see it after getting settled, don't wait for the DVD. Even if you don't go see it right away, I'd suggest seeing it on the big screen at least once.

I saw this crap yesterday and I wasn't impressed. Im not really a big star wars fan and didn't wanna see it but my dad was dying to see it so I decided to treat him. They only thing I enjoyed about this where the andriods, and the Emperor of the andriods, Emperor Grevious. The offical spokesperson for badass incorporated.
I dunno, maybe i didn't like becuase the robots died or whatever, but from a movie perspective, it was all smoke and mirrors and a side of cheese. Overall, I would say wait till DvD. My 2 cents. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. I thought it was a solid Star Wars film. Tied the series together nicely. Yoda is the man as always.

/agreed I saw it this past weekend and being that I used to be a huge Star Wars fan a few years back, I enjoyed the movie immensely. It's made me wanna pick up Knights of the Old Republic. -------------------- PSN ID: USF_Tailgater

A flawed but satisfying end to the star wars saga.
Most of my concerns have already been covered in numerous reviews across the net already, so I won't go into it. Possible spoiler to follow... One of my favorite scenes is where Senator Organa comes to the Jedi Temple to see what is going on, and a Jedi Padawan engages the Clone Troopers, confirming to the senator that things are amiss, and buying him time to escape. |

I've heard stuff like that too and really wouldn't be surprised if there was. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if I end up seeing them also even though I really don't like the whole star wars thing. -------------------- "Brotherhood asked for no friendship, only loyalty. Do you mean like contradictions to the Star Wars storyline or just general happenings in the movie itself? I'm rather curious. -------------------- PSN ID: USF_Tailgater
