PSO-World has reported that Sega has made an announcment stating, the official shutdown of Dreamcast and Gamecube servers. The servers will become free-to-play on March 1st, 2007 for a one month period. Listed below is the versions of the game that will be affected by this anouncement:
* Dreamcast
o Version 1
o Version 2

* Gamecube
o Episode 1&2
o Episode 1&2 Plus
o Episode 3
There seems to be no mention of Xbox and Blue Burst servers which are assumed to remain in operation for the time being. Kinda sad to see the servers go. We all shared alot of good times and good memories. I'll never forget how I first started at Ah-King's message board then later become attached to this group. Then hosting the Hobo Cup tournament with Dj Donkey and, having tremendous success and lots of fun with it. It'll be cool if we could get one last hurrah on Episode 3 or whatever and, have a good old soccer lobby meeting haha. Heres to us, the past, PSO, PSU, and the future to come!
