PS3 Get?, Where's the fackin' online games Options

I just recently got a PS3.

I know most of the ATers game on the Xbox 360, since it's the obvious online system of choice (cause I got one too). I picked it up after the discounted system came out. There's more solid titles coming out for 2008 (rpgs), so I figured it would be good to pick it up now. My question is if any other ATers are active with their PS3; since I'm not even sure how the PS3 online dashboard works. Do I have to pay for a subscription to play certain online games, or are all game online free to play, except for the downloaded shit? I know I can DL games, but fuck that.

From my looks now, the title list is pretty lacking. I'm just glad I picked it up right before Devil May Cry 4 and Dynasty Warriors 6 came out. It just doesn't seem like a smart choice to get a PS3 now as your only system of choice, when the library is so small. But since I've got everything else, the PS3 was the only system left to get, sooooo... I got it.

If there's any titles I'm missing out on now or should get in the future, what is it (ignoring MGS4 and FF13 for a sec)? Seems like the 360 and Wii are where the party is at.

I was thinking of posting this on the ga(y)mefaqs message board, since the fan boys would fill me in with a full 2008 line up.
