Speaking of re-hash quests, we're getting soul blade tomorrow.

I'll be honest here, my HL expired quite some time ago, and I haven't had the need to go back on at all.

I would log on every night, search cards, NO ONE! Either that, or the people I knew that were on would be in full games or something.

Usually I would pick up the controller, and think to my self "why?". I swear playing the same game since it came out finally got to me, it was just boring.

I've had my fun with the game, with everyone I knew, but hey, you gotta move on sometimes.

If I go on PSO and everybody is busy, I have no problem playing solo online. There are more creatures=means more exp and the creatures are alil harder so it gives you a challenge. I dont know what people think about me, but everybody so far I meet from AT have been cool people buttrock.gif So I understand that it makes playing PSO online fun if you have cool people playing with you. Thanks to everybody posting and I hope this helps and people start to fill up the lobbys again.

QUOTE (Claymore @ Aug 4 2003, 12:36 AM)
yo, i wanted to touch base on this too.

while i have an legitimate reason for being away, i admit i am loosing intrest in PSO, its been three years. witch is DAMN long to play one game, ask yourself the last time you played something that long? i bet alot of you will say never.

not that im throwing in the towel, when my relatives depart i will be back online, and who knows this break might be just what i needed to get into it again.

i like the idea of doing more things as a guild, i think a scheduled time for "loose" meeting where we all get togeather and get our fill of pso would be cool, like once a week or so we could get togeather and fill a couple of lobbies beigesmile.gif

see you online in a week beigebigrazz.gif

Holy crap. 3 years? Has it been that long?? Felt like only a year. =T
You're right though. I haven't played a game this long ever. (not since sonic & knuckles anyway)
Only people I catch online nowadays are layrinn and vitamin D along with some others.

As long as I keep meeting new people, I never get tired of PSO. The day everyone else departs is the day I'll finally quit.

I admit I have been bored with pso.

Like Claymore said it has been three years with this game and eventually you just tire of the repetition. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy everyone's company but I wish we had a new game to migrate to. I have also lost a lot of free time lately and haven't been able to get to any games.

I will be there for sure when we have another get together. I remember a long time ago, AT had an official weekly game time, maybe this could happen again?

The problem with a long term addiction such as this involves the inundation of said....er, substance controlling every facet of your waking/gaming life. I personally have a long, Long, LONG list of games I've shelved after immediate purchase due entirely to extended play time with both PSO in all it's many forms and a little game called Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

The funny thing is both games I mentioned have easily exploitable glitches, various gamebreaking cheats, and long lasting play value. But I quit the arcade scene a year ago after proving my point in the latter game, and saw no need to continue playing in a world of contenders who see fit to use the same tired old tricks over and over again and never bother offering me a new challenge.

I guess PSO is similiar in that last aspect too, but....change "contenders" to "Sonic Team's laziness" and you get my drift....

I think Layrinn made the best point when I chatted with him online....it's the people, pure and simple. I prefer co-operative gameplay over competition any day of the week. The best times I've had gaming have been with my brother, Khaotika....

Now, realisitically, the DC veterans should all have probably moved on to other games by this point, but there's not much out there console wise that offers such rewarding times via cooperation amongst it's players.

With the burgeoning console MMORPG market set to take the world by storm, there's sure to be another awesome, time/life consuming addiction to take PSO's place. Now, if the game in question is filled with nothing but assholes and 10 year olds who scream obscenities at anyone within earshot, then I'll gladly take the game back to the retailer or snap it in half myself.

It's just like real life....it's better when you have people on the same wavelength promoting good times and harmony....folks who just want to get their game on and not be harrassed by the peons who just don't get it.

Now where's my No-Prize/Nobel Peace Prize/Cracker Jack Toy/Capsule Figure/40 kilos of pure grade??

Anyway, I was feeling rather sad since 95% of the people I played with on DC weren't coming back....I got to know some really cool people with this game, and now on the next generation I find myself surrounded by more individuals (mostly AT) who enjoy the people aspect of this liberation from one player mode into an online community filled with all kinds of gamers.

I'm still good for at least a month. Gotta get my characters to level 200 sometime soon....nice and legit like. Heh. Wish me luck....and sanity.

Wow...most of you guys got some LONG posts beigebigeek.gif anyway, mine will be short. There will be NO quiting PSO from me. 2 people have mentioned me, that should be proof enough. shades.gif catch me about 9pm Moutain or later, on either Antares 5, Altair 5-7, or Altair 6...(though you can most likely find me on 5-7 haha.) See ya online.

It's my own damn fault >.< I bought StarCraft, WarCraft3: The Frozen Throne, and EverQuest during the past 2 months. I've been totally absorbed in EverQuest and WarCraft3. Not so much with StarCraft because no one I know is on like they used to be. I have way too many new games to keep me occupied now.

Anyways, for the record, I still have an active HL, and I still pop on two or three times a week, but it's usually really brief because no one else is on.

I haven't lost interest in PSO, but it would be better to say, I'm more interested in EverQuest at the moment.

Oh yea, and I agree with Dive. It would be nice if there were other games we could migrate to.

I was seriously thinking about hanging up my HL for good for the last few weeks. I haven't been going online all that much recently and I have been getting into other, more important - more satisfying - reason why you converted a room in your house for music, type things. BUT, last night, I went on and tried the Soul Blade quest. For the most part, it kicked my ass, but it was great fun! So many Sinows and Garanzesessses!!
Then, right when I was about to log out, Crushinator and friend came up and we had a great time whompin' on the damn De Roi Le. Then Crush and I chatted for awhile. For those small reasons I am going to keep my HL going for a long time more.
"long time more?" Is that even english?

"But pa, I love him."
Oxygen farmer jumps up and down on hat shouting, "Dang it Crushinator!"
Bender, Fry and Leela get away.

That's good stuff.

Ha ha!!

Dude, I came from a few forums that enforced you to either have long posts, or otherwise you'd get warned or banned because of two/three word answers. On that wave, I've had to read a few bible-length ones in my time....yeesh.

beigelaugh.gif:

On another note, I'm furious that Mario Kart: Double Dash isn't online capable. Anyone else with me on this?? I hope Nintendo wises up with their next machine....whether they like it or not, online gaming IS the future.

Fry: "Ewww, Bender....you didn't do it with the Crushinator, did you??"
Bender: "Hell, no!! A lady that fine, you gotta romance first!!"

Good stuff, indeed.

I honestly wish that ST would make more Episode 2 quests....the Towers are fun and all, but what I wouldn't do for an Endless Nightmare version of CCA/Seabed....

EP2 chall comes out soon from what I hear. I believe it is complete. Although it may be released a couple of stages at at time, but that is alright. That will give me time to master each stage well. That is what I am waiting for. It will be great...and XBox still does not have all the challenge stages up....*sigh* I don't know what I would do if I was in XBox....I like my GCN. at-emote1.gif

Sure, people are getting quite bored of it. Who can't with all the looming glitches and the 50% at LEAST who exploit them... Here's to them! guns.gif

I haven't had an HL since January, and I'm glad I haven't. It's idiotic to waste my hard-earned cash to go online to a dupe/glitch-infested world without a KB. Offline has been good enough for me, but Online would be 10x better with a KB. Just have to "persuade" an impressionable manufacturer... Heh. Heh. Heh. pirate.gif
