Oh yea make sure you create different decks with different characters.

*nods* i'm noticing a difference in playing styles when dealing with either heroside or darkside; it seems that heroside allows more diversity for creating custom decks using the various avatars more-so than darkside ~ there are so many types of weapons to choose from & i notice that some are highlighted depending on the avatar used.. =. in darkside, i have no problems keeping the same deck while switching avatars ~ it looks as if the ARKz can utilize all the baddies..

...

of course, i'm still only in match 14 ~ so i'm uncertain if that will remain constant for long.. =/ i'm seeing lots of peoples getting some really wicked-type cards & i'm thinking to myself - where do they find the time? Oo

Well theres alot more to Arkz than just casting monsters in the field.
Each of the Arkz have different abilities.
I experimented with Reiz and she can hit a Hunter head on even if he/she is equipped.
Also, each of them have different weapons.
You have to learn how to use those to your advantage.

~it's worth it, HC82 - nevermore shall i doubt the work of ST; that team can sure create.. at-emote1.gif dj ~ most true, whenever i use Creinu of ARKz ~ her ability heals summoned baddies (1pt) after each turn; this became a blessing is some matches.. =.

heh, I have to point this out...if no one else has...

It is kon'nichiwa....

ko nn ni chi ha (is how you type it)

Yes, there are 3 Ns

‚±‚ñ‚É‚¿‚́`OO

I am learning more JP each day...if you would like help reading any of the menus let me know. I can read the menus that are in Katakana...like the rules menu... (ƒ‹[ƒ‹[j when you start the match. The strangest thing is how phase is spelled...on phase time, which is usually defaulted to 30 seconds.

All of this talk has really piqued my interest as well.
There's no way I would import though. Not being able to read the story line would drive me nuts!
I just hope the games that come out before this one will keep my interest going until then.
There's always farming!

HA can be pronounced as ha or as wa depending on where it is used. It has two pronounciations. In the case of konnnichiha it is pronounced wa.

If used as a partical such as:
watashi wa ie ni ikimasu.
‚킽‚µ‚Í‚¢‚¦‚É‚¢‚«‚Ü‚·B
(I will go to the house)

then it is pronounced as wa

In a word like good morning (‚¨‚Í‚æ`j
It will be pronounced as ha

In ‚±‚ñ‚É‚¿‚Í however, it is pronounced as wa.

Look at the word select and how your image shows you typed it. You missed one letter when it was typed. You should have pressed "n" 3 times. You pressed "n" 2 times. Not trying to be picky but as a short lesson on Japanese...lol.

at-emote1.gif

Edit: Oh, I need to ask, can you read the Japanese fonts alright? You might need to install the Japanese support for Windows if not. I typed some Hiragana in this last post. I hope it shows up for you. If you want to type it on you PC you need to install a INPUT METHOD EDITOR.

whoa... I just watched the two movies from GameSpot. This game looks amazing. Although, it's weird to see the fast paced action of PSO come to a crashing halt during the card battling. But, I can say that it looks like it's going to be alot of fun. Different fun, but still fun. In regular PSO all you have to do is A-B-B, run, A-B-B, run... repeat. Looks like there is ALOT more strategy and thinking going on in EP3.
When I watch the game play movies, I instantly feel overwhelmed by the number of choices. Is that so? Did you guys find it hard to jump right in and play? I guess you have already talked about that... but seeing it for myself in these movies kinda wigged me a bit. Not being much of a turn based game play person, it should be a new learning experience for me!

Well, sometimes it is kinda tough to figure out what you want to do. There are dice now involved so there is a chance that you will not get good numbers on the dice and you oppoent will always get good numbers.

You only get so many attack points each turn from the dice so you have to plan your turn accordingly. It really is like a card game...if you ever played a game like Magic the gathering...but now it has dice involved in the game decisions.

Also, I played with a Japanese friend the other day and he got a nano dragon to summon. He instant killed the other player by swaping the HP and ATP of the nano dragon card...then attacking the opponent for 14 damage! Insta kill! That was also at the beginning of the game too!

Anyways, I think it is fun, but I have much to learn myself with the game. at-emote1.gif

Be prepared for ALOT MORE strategy & thinking (and nerve wrecking matches) as ST will change the parameters of the cards this week.
Which means cards will cost more to use, HP will be modified, and among other stuff.
Of course this will only apply online =)

I remember one game I played with a friend...he insta-killed the other guy. It was really quite simple...he summoned a Nano Dragon then swaped the HP and ATP around so it had 15ATP and 5HP. He then aimed it at the opponent and 15 damage...insta kill! Maybe that is why? lol at-emote1.gif

Edit: that update was done last night...but it was done twice. I think they made a mistake last time because I went to create a game to play against a computer player and it said human only. They updated every server twice because of that...I believe.

I really like the fact that your Attack Points are generated by dice, I used to play a Games Workshop board game called Space Hulk and it used that exact same scheme. It was big fun not knowing what to expect on the next round.

I am getting more interested in this game the more I read your reports.
