Bleh... I am leaning heavily towards "no". I am totally not excited by the notion of voice chat. Especially given the fact that I enjoy role-playing my *female* characters. My voice is definitely
not suited for that task.
Besides that fact... like Dive said, there's nothing new. Why should I spend another $40 and start all over just to play the same game I already have? I do feel, however, that PSO on the Xbox has a lot more
potential than it does on the cube. Since everyone is on broadband, it is possible that the servers will be more stable and less laggy. The hard drive could cut down on the annoying save times and opens up the possibility of significant downloadable content. Patches, new maps, and stuff like that... Of coure, the chances of SonicTeam getting off its ass to actually take advantage of any of this are beyond slim.
So... the bottom line is this: I will continue playing the GC version until I'm blue in the face. If, after some time goes by, it seems like the Xbox version really is better in some significant way, then I will consider switching. Ultimately, my decision will be mostly determined by which platform the majority of my favorite people to play with are on. There's pretty much no chance I'll have the time, money, or inclination to actually play on
both versions, so it's gonna have to be one or the other.
