I've learned to cope with the fact i'm slightly, computer illiterate, so i'm asking in hopes someone will know.

I can never ever get on Xbox live, it just wont connect to the xbox live part, but everything else checks out, and i'm pretty sure it has to do with my router or my PC, any suggestions?

I bet it all stems from your comments about Halo 2.

Maybe you have some kind of firewall going on that blocks access?

If you think it's your router, try hooking up your xbox directly to your dsl modem. I know that not all routers are xbox live compatible.
