Well, folks, looks like the PSOBB open beta starts May 10. I know with FFXI, WoW, and now Guild Wars, this will probably be overlooked.

I think i'll try it just to give me a feel for PSU,although the gameplay might be different,it's on the PC...so i should be there also.
Hell, I'm always down for PSO if people I know are there to play with.

I will definitely be on this since its open and free (and I got an invite from a very old friend). I got too nostalgic when we were talking. The best part, everyone will be legit.

BIG EDIT:Just read on another forum: DO NOT patch the client because it will install the Japanese version of the game,wait till the 10th of when the US servers go live to patch it.
If you have everything ready, you can play today. Find me as WOLKAISER on Hyperion 7.
is anyone else having a problem typing in their user name and password? I go to user id, hit enter, and nothing happens when I try typing it in. I hope I'm not being completely retarded.

Had the same problem. The only fix I've seen so for is to go into your regional & language options, then under the second tab click off the supplemental language support boxes. I have no idea why this works, but it seemed to do the trick. Maybe it will be something that will be fixed tomorrow when the server's are officially up.
So far I'm having a blast with this. I'm a little surprised that PSO still holds up after all this time, but it's still really, really fun.

Anyone else get to play last night? I managed to get to about lv16 and I'm all the way up to mines.
No,in typical Sega style,the update patch server is down and still is and half the people have the "not able to type" problem with no help or clue on what to do to fix it.

Yeah you do, and said server has been down for over 8 hours.
Try hitting Shift+Alt when you input text.

so its may 10th and i cant download the open beta because its not up on sega's site, nice!
Ok patch server is up but i still can't type anything...i unchecke the box in the regional setting,that didnt work an now if i want to put the check back in,it needs the windows XP cd,which i dont have...the Shift Alt doesnt work either....f this.
Hmmm, well I am able to recheck the language boxes and enable them without having to use the XP CD. I didn't even realize that it would be a possiblity. I did try the shift+alt deal once they were enabled and no dice, for whatever reason I can only type with them off.
I guess the thing to remember is this is the beta, and dealing with glitches is probably par for the course.

Ok finally got it working,it's up now also....do we have an official AT ship and server yet?....could be useful if we want to play together

I think we are going to use Hyperion 7, for now at least. The Dreamstation crew meets there as well, and I think we shared ships with them in the past.
We have Team AT started as well, just hit up Donk, Linka, or me for an invite.
pso still owns btw.

I try and play this morning and my "W,S,A,D" doesn't work anymore for some strange reason...i can't move or chat or do anything,my character just stands there...very weird.
not many games can make me stay up the entire day after getting 1 hour of sleep the night before. After my finals are over next week, give me a couple days to hit level 200. 
LMAO! Look what happened when I tried to log on before I left for school.
I checked player count before I (finally) logged off yesterday night (this morning?).
The first ship had roughly 500 people. That's not bad especially in the middle of the night.

Well, that's not completely out of the question. There's a bug that allows one to reach said level. Their HP and TP match that of a normal 200, but the other stats don't.
I'm also usually on 7-7 a lot with Dreamstation as well. I'll be on later today. I'll be on as either Earthwind or FireIce (any jokes and I'll be forced to retaliate

Already downloaded PSO: BB earlier today but haven't played much yet. Certainly interested in trying something other than FFXI though so, if my interest in this game does return, might actually ditch FFXI for PSO now, heh.

I FINALLY got this to dl this morning, and my son was the first to create a character. MAN did that bring back memories. It'll be fun to poke around a bit with this!
What's funny is that when we started with PSO, my son was so young I would not let him play online. *grin* Now, he was the first to go online with this one.

after 3 days of d/ling inbetween my times on ffxi i finally have it only took around 24hrs for me to d/l... so how do i find you people on there ;; i feel so alone and er no clue what to do heh ..or just find me going by Ellianna as always ^^

There is really no way to search for someone unless you have their guild card or they are a member of your team. The best thing to do would be to organize a time when those who haven't been added to the team yet to meet up. Other than that we've all been playing in Hyperion 7, you can try to bump into us there.
I wish the damned servers would stop crashing...

I got Nyn to 3 last night and then the damn server crashed again. *grumble*
I also remade Faile - she's far easier, level 5 already! *grin*
I wonder why I'm struggling so much with Nyn. I find that the targeting is VERY hard...so many times I throw a spell and hit NOTHING.
