I ask this a lot in game, so I just figured I would make a topic about it. How many people will be playing PSOBB past the beta? I'm getting my bank card pretty soon, so I'll most likely still be playing until PSU comes out. Anyone else?

At this point I'm planning on staying past beta. I don't have any timeframe in mind, but I'll be in for a while. ^^

I plan to stick around past the beta, but i'm not sure how long. It's hard to up and quit PSO though haha.

$8.99 a month, not sure if they charge for the client or not.

Sega Announces Free Download of Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst

SAN FRANCISCO (May 10, 2005) – SEGA of America, Inc. today announced the availability of Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst for the PC as a free download. Players are encouraged to download the full game, presently running as an open beta, from the following website: http://www.psobb.com. Effective today, users can experience more than six weeks of free online gameplay, after which a monthly fee of $8.99 will be required to continue. Player data from the beta test will be carried over to the full game's release on June 9.

I think I will continue past beta, as long as there are cool people playing.

I know you guys are loving this BB stuff, but do NOT burn yourself out before PSU comes to town. I will be super pissed at you guys. It's killing me that I have missed out on this BB action and I am looking forward to seeing everyone on PSU next year.

That's correct, we only got up to Hard Mode and only Episode 1. No C-Mode or Battle was released either. It got a little stagnant with only the dreamcast equivalent stages which we have all played to death, so I really want to get to the new areas.

We miss you as well in BB. I know if you had been there you would have owned the Team Point Challenge.

Yeah, no worries on burning out. I do plan to play past the beta, but I haven't been playing much right now because there's a HUGE lack of variety haha. The new stuff will revive my interest though, and I'll be playing a LOT more.

I'm staying past the beta. I will reach 200 this time or die trying. At the most, it will keep me entertained and busy until PSU does come out, at which time I hope to had reached said goal.

I was talking to Yuji naka the other day and he said he was gonna expand the free trial period to the June of 13th. Happy Hunting!

Nice to see you (and Bryn) are sticking around, Dive. As all of you may know, episode 4 comes out this coming thursday. I have one bit of advice: be afraid, be very afraid. I have it on good authority that the difficulty factor is up there. If you play in standard 4-player mode, you better have a good balanced team.

Hell yea, I can't wait to try out some new pso stages. I hope I have free time on thursday to check it out, we should get together and recon the new areas.

If not, then it'll have to wait till Saturday, since I'll be out of town to see my girlfriend on Friday (she had been bugging me to go and see her the past couple weeks).

I'm up for that. Do you guys still play on Hyperion 7? I haven't seen a lot of ATers there recently, but then again I have been playing solo a lot recently for rares and to catch up. I havent had much luck until just recently in that department. Found an elysion for my FOmar and SParts ver 1.16.

Expect me to be back around August 20th. If by chance that laptop I'm getting is decent, possibly sooner. But I'll mos def be playing until PSU comes out.
