Before being burned at the stake, I sent in an entry to PSOW's posing contest. It's under the
mighty mecha category and as of this post, is in the lead (the blue HUcast with the lavis). The funny part is they didn't omit my entry despite being banned. Plus, it's got to be one of the oldest pics on there.

That's a sweet shot
I wonder what will happen if you win? >.>
That wannabe Val caseal is pretty good omg.

I was thinking that when I first saw that my entry had made it. That pic is from the last week of May 2001 after Memorial day. I'd gotten to 100 for the first time the previous Saturday morning (about 3:30AM) and the memory card bugged out exactly a week later (no, not that exact time, just on the following Saturday). As of this post, I still have a commanding lead (MetalGriever's vengeful ghost maybe?), but anything can happen in 2 weeks. Also, what the hell is a HUne doing in there?

errrrrr..... is it just me or did sumone enter a HUnewearl in the mighty mecha section, by trying ti disquise them with the biggest shields and items possible....lol

That, and she appears to be wearing a lafuteria for armor.

An insightful idea, if I may say so. Looks like a Standstill Shield with Rika's Claw and Asparas (sp?). I guess there aren't really any armors to make a flesh character look more "mecha." I suppose the Lafuteria fits in just fine.
Btw, ain't it just like PSO World to ban you, and use your submissions anyway? It's not even a surprise really.

I can see where they were going with this... one possible explanation, at least.
Phantasy Star III had a character named Mieu. Although she didn't have pointy ears, she was tall and thin with long red hair. She fought with claws and could use basic recovery techniques. She was for all intents and purposes a HUnewearl, by today's standards... and she was also an android. Maybe that's what this person was trying to depict with this character.

I think the explanation is that PSOW are a bunch of retards. Can't even run their own damn contest right.
I put my vote in for ya, DarkEpyon.

Which brings up some complications should I win. Will they still play fair and cough up the prize, or completely DQ me for the very fact I was banned? Hmmmmm.... can they even do that legally if all votes were obtained legitimately? Theis site, their rules I suppose... I only go there now because of this. After this I'm never goin' back there.
I still have yet to find a PSO site that matches their info aside from wumarkus. Interesting point about the PS games of your, rinn. I'd never looked at it that way.

I think Wata resigned from there some time ago. I think it's erupt, lolita and salad running things now.

Yup, they banned me, but still happily use my Challenge Mode FAQ...lmao
(Note: I went there to get a link to the cmode faq, but got an error message saying they were "down for maintenence" *snrk*)

Heheheh yeah I saw that this morning. I'm surprised the slapping HUcaseal didn't win the team effort one. All in all I felt the winners were well-chosen.

Ha,ha,ha...that's kinda funny.
So...were there prizes awarded in this contest or just prestige and glory? Either way, congrats.

Congrats Ep! X-D You just knew you we're gonna win. I actually voted for ya. >.> Maybe the prize is that they'll allow you to return! But then again, who the heck would really want that anyway?

I remember when Lolita and PSOSaladWood were total n00bs. All they did was spam the board and flirt with the mods. I guess brown-nosing can get you places these days.

Heheh the prize is one of those PSO action figures out in Japan. I'm supposed to PM my address, but I can't do that.

The teeny tiny action figures? I've got two of them, and they're only like 3 and a half inches high.
DarkEpyon
Jun 5 2003, 04:21 PM
Yeah, those ones... About the size of G.I. Joes. Since I can't PM, I guess there's always email. And how convenient that as of this post, they're down for maintenance YET AGAIN.
