Sierra Entertainment today announced that the multiplayer component from the award winning PC title F.E.A.R. has been renamed F.E.A.R. Combat, and will be made available to the public as a free download on Thursday August 17th, 2006. Although F.E.A.R. wasn't known for its Multiplayer, its been said to be pretty solid. Seeing as how AT has its roots in FPS, I was thinking maybe we can have a good old get together sometime and just have at it. Did I also say that its Free? Cause it is!

I need to find out if i need a Version Update for online mode, i'm betting i do i haven't updated since purchase haha, its pretty late now and i'm about to goto bed due to getting my ass kicked by a mid-summer cold, but lets try and get something going tomorrow, i'll try and get some others in on the action too.

I have the full game but never tried the multiplayer...so i guess i don't need to download this,just patch it or something? i'll check today and maybe sometime next week i can be on.

edit: i should be able to host 5-6 people off my machine. Woe can comment on me as a server from when we played ut2k4.

Seeing as how there is a lot of interest in this I was thinking maybe we can set something up this weekend. Like maybe sometime late at night cause I gotta work. =( I'm pretty sure we can have at least 4 people in a game. Me, Donkey, Woe, and Oddies. Who else is up for some Scissor kick mayham this weekend or something?

I think we can get up to 7-8 people into our private server before things will start to go to shit, so we have room for some more if any of you other folks are intrested, i know linka has the game now too. so thats 5 if we're all on.

I should be able to host 6 + myself without any of you suffering any real lag, maybe another 1-2. I may need to avoid vent/ts till I get a good idea of how well my conenction will handle it. Beyond that, just say when.
