Recently new information has surfaced over at
PSO-World that the rumored "expansion" for PSU is actually true and in the works. Many people had speculated that the rumors of an expansion where just an exaggeration for Segas implementation of the online Story mode. However the recent issue of the popular japanese magazine,
Famitsu, has proven otherwise. Scans from the magazine depict new weapons, enemies, cloths, and areas which currently do not exist on the current version of PSU.

It looks like they are appealing to the old school PSO fans by adding old shit we loved and missed.

So their answer to improve psu.. was to steal lots of stuff from pso?
I'm disappointed to not have more pictures of new enemies or areas, given how small the current game is, the expansion better double the number of areas or I'll be disappointed. Oh, and fix the mission system please. Not being able to sign on and join your friends where-ever they are for the lose
Mags as a force weapon is pretty sweet though

I was wondering if any one knew of a release date?
There were something like 20 pages to read on the thread over at pso-world, and since 90% of the posts there are from whiney, runny nosed a-holes, I could only take about 3 pages before I got sick to my stomach.

As of yet Sega hasn't released a date yet however, open beta will be up around May in Japan. If they do a Jp release first again I'm totally gonna importing.

Looks cool, especially the oldschool returns, but they need to create stages that randomly generate. How about they drop gameguard for the new expansion and use something that acutally works.
