I find that my birthdays consist more and more of having a nice, simple meal at home and watching one of my favorite movies.
For example:
Meal: Pasta, Bean Soup
Drink: Red Wine (only one glass becasue we only had 1/2 of a bottle, but I was in the mood for more)
Movie: My Neighbor Totoro

For me, a perfect evening.

Yeah.. I'm a total party animal.
