Today at BlizzCon they announced and gave a live demonstration of the next World of Warcraft expansion:

Unholy Embrace

Instant Cast. 5 min cooldown.

Target is embraced by a silhouette of darkness for 6 seconds, corrupting any healing spells and effects cast upon or currently affecting the target to cause damage for 50% of their healing potential instead of restoring health. Any damage shields cast upon or currently affecting the target will also be instantly consumed, dealing 50% of their absorption potential in damage. Once afflicted with Unholy Embrace, the target cannot be afflicted with Unholy Embrace again for 1 minute.

So any bets it will be months late like TBC?

It'll be out just prior to WAR launch, so best to ask if WAR is getting delayed any.

Does anyone still play WoW atm? i unfroze my account but moonrunner rather sucks only knowing 2 people i was thinking about maybe doing a paid character transfer and gettin my bro and my friend to get on that server

at least 6-7 of us are still actively playing on Arathor still, Come on over!

sweet, puttin their money and bags from moonrunner characters on Elliana then im transfering her over they have to start new characters,...rick already has , they can't afford to transfer characters

Just be mindful of the level vs gp limits when transferring, they should be list on the transfer menu at the wow site

Just so everyone knows, the expansion content is geared for player level 68+. Not that getting levels in WoW is a hard thing to do.

It is for me, that game is just so ZZzzzz.... boring.

watch death knight be undead only. it always miffed me that only tauren and night elves can be druids.

Blizzard has already announced Death Knight will be available to both factions, also, Death Knights were originally humans and orcs, so automatically looking at it as undead only doesn't make sense.

As far as druids go, throughout Warcraft history - Night elves, and Tauren have always been the only druids. as well as High elves possibly (back when the night elves and blood elves were one people, before arthas sacked silvermoon city, conquering the sunwell in the name of the burning legion, and resurecting Kel'thazad.)

I expect Death Knight to be available to 3+ of the races on each faction - perhaps every race. Some combo's do seem alittle out of place though, specificly Gnome and Draenei Death Knights.

We shall see.

I love that they carried the story into th MMO, but I can't help but be a little annoyed that because I can't get into WoW, i'm not really going to get the chances to finish the story with Arthas.

Yeah, I'm eagerly anticipating the continuation of the arthas/frostmourne story. It's probably my favorite segment of Warcraft History. Also, Rumor has it that Naxxramas, the krypt of kel'thazad and currently a 40man raid instance, is being moved to Northrend and retuned for the expansion (as it is currently dead in the water due to it being implimented prior to burning crusade). So seeing what's going on with ole Kel'thazad is very promising as well *rubs hands togeather*

As for not being able to get into WoW, maybe you should try it with AT, Since we make everything better.
