To be fair, they ran out of good "Man" ideas after Mega Man 4.

True, but he seems more like an X series "man".

They did make a pretty good observation about Sheep man in the little yellow bubble, in that it may be a reference to this book!

I actually liked a few of the robot masters from the ones after 4. And I could've sworn I saw somewhere Capcom wasn't doing anymore of this because it "wasn't profitable" in today's market or something like that. I still say the third character will be Roll for some reason though.

megaman 5 wasn't so bad. grvity man is pretty cool. mm6 on the other hand...

The guys on the Giant Bombcast brought up an interesting theory, maybe each of the bosses from MM10 will represent a Capcom franchise? Sheep man for "Flock!", Commando Man from "Commando: Wolf of the Battlefield"... it would be awesome if they have like "Bionic Man" or "Strider Man" or "Blanka Man"

Just putting it out there.

Citing some shitty MM bosses post 4:

• Charge Man (train wtf?)
• Stone Man (They already had guts man AND hard man)
• Star Man (just stupid)
• Wave Man (Bubble man got Dive man teen pregnant)
• Blizzard Man (Skis? Really?)
• Wind Man (Didn't we already have air man, and gyro man... OH WAIT THIS GUY HAD 2 PROPS, totally different!)
• Flame Man (again repeating fire guys... and WTF with the turban?)
• Tomahawk man (yeah.)
• Yamato Man (What the fuck is a yamato?)
• Centaur Man (COME ON!)
• Plant Man (Get the fuck out of the way, here comes a ROBOT FLOWER!"
• Cloud Man (Looks like a robot from the care bears cartoon)
• Turbo Man
• Junk Man (Dust man already did this and was cooler)
• Freeze Man (This guy, crystal man, gemini man, gem man... they're all the fucking same guy.)
• Clown Man (Just no, come on, a clown?)
• Tengu Man (In the same WTF group as Centaur man. Why make a robot of a mythical creature?)

So out of 32 MM badguys from 5-8, 17 are fucking stupid, and i'd venture another 10 of them are just repeats of guys they've already made.

But I guess you're right, MM5 is the "least crappy" of the "crap boss roster" Mega Mans.

That Mega Man looks similar to X and Protoman reminds me of his EXE/Battle Network incarnation.

Also Yamato has several different meanings in Japan, including a form of Japanese patriotism. Could've called him "Samurai Man" but... yeah.

not 100% sure but i think he is called Samurai man in the jp version of 6. i just remeber him being called that in the database when i played a translated rom of rockman and forte.
