Anyways, I finally decided to get off my butt and finish this one up before the season passed. ;p Rinn and Sato are all dressed up as pirates for Halloween! Did I mention I hate drawing backgrounds? Hence the cheesy gradient bg. -.-;; Hey, at least I used fall colors. ;p

If I were to nitpick, I'd say the fingers on the left hand are a little stubby....but the figure as a whole looks realistically proportioned....awesome. She needs a better grip on her saber....maybe I can arrage a private lesson on how to use a weapon later....lol.

Nice pose, Rinn!! I think the background looks nice, it really helps her stand out.

Now for my customary critique.

The Durandal looks like it's floating, not actually being gripped in hand. Next time, wrap the fingers a little more tightly around the handle. The other hand is a little funky looking as well, again foreshortening and perspective is a bitch when doing "hand on hips" type stances. Erm, no shadow on the Durandal. -.o

If you have someone who wouldn't mind modeling for you, you could try taking pics and working from them. They would definitely help solidify any future projects.

Don't worry, though. Hands and feet are probably THE hardest parts of the body to draw.
