Ouch! Hugely delayed in fact.
According to the Sega site, the release date now says Winter of 2004. That's 2004 people! No explanation, just a new date. Wow though... a whole year.
Ouch.

This is actually somewhat of good news for me. This means I'll probably actually play the game when its released. ;p
Sorry to those who have been anticipating the title, tho. Delays are teh suck.

Is this for the import? I was gonna sell mine on eBay anyway.

A whole year? That's odd. I never heard of a game get delayed by a whole year.
It still says November 27 for the Japanese version (at least on the official site).
That's all I care about. hehe.
It's most likely a mistake.
If it was true...

Actually....
It should be out at the previously aforementioned date, rather than getting pushed back. Proclaiming Winter 2004 should mean it's still right on schedule....
Barring any mistakes, the business world in general works like such:
It generally goes by seasons, leading with the new year's opener.
Winter
Spring
Summer
Fall
Since the majority of the Winter season falls directly post December, the fiscal year is rolled into the next, with the next number for a calendar year indicating a move ahead. So when you see something that is slated for Winter 2004, that should mean that it will come out during the first of the year.
If I'm not mistaken, that is how the business world looks at things....

after reading this, i went hopping to various PsO forums ~ even to PsO World, one would think if that were true, this would demand more attention (upset players cursing ST's name & that sort of thing..). =. thus far, i have yet to see anyone panic or bring this up for discussion ~ so perhaps the game is still on schedule for a spring release in '04?
...
*ponders* then again, i wonder how many are actually getting episode 3 ~ there is still the debate as to whether or not this is following the popular trend of poke-yugi cards.. ;p i'll keep tabs to see if anything else reveals itself regarding this.. =)

You know Bantam, I was thinking the same thing just last night.
Technically, winter starts in December and runs thru Feb or March of the following year.
So, maybe when it says winter 2004, it means Jan, 1st!

*shrugs*
I dunno... I was just repeating what I saw on the Sega site.
http://www.sega.com/games/fullreleaseschedule.jhtmlSee? It just says
details soon.
and .. um... Dark. If you already own the import, how could it's release date be delayed?
Score one for me!

Either way, if the US version is coming out next year, I have no complaints. I think sega wants to squeeze out some more time from PSO 1&2, probably ep2 cmode and what not.
As for the quarterly business world, it is just broken up into 4 quarters. I think where you start and begin the year is up to the company.
November, December, January 31st
Febuary, March, April 30th
May, June, July
August, September, October
