i was planning to get my PC through HP (where my father happens to work) by having payments taken directly out of his check.... i guess recently HP decided they dont do that anymore...

cry2.gif

this could mean a delay... or that i may have to wait until the PS2 launch................................................... MEANING I WOULD HAVE PAYED FOR THE PC VERSION FOR NOTHING!!!!

im not too sure yet but it doesn't look that good. im quite dissapointed/pissed/sad/upset/disgruntled

well you wouldnt be the only one waiting for the ps2 version

To be honest, I see that as a blessing. HP's aren't really known for their gaming power.

<- old crappy POS pc was teh HP.

Sorry to hear that you've been delayed. =/

I'm really sorry to hear that. :(

Maybe there is another way, if HP doesn't come through?

~wow, i'm beginning to see that the pc version of ff-online is a tad bit of an inconvenience in the overall scheme.. =. too much time, effort & money to set the game up technology-wise for those that do not have pc's, coupled with funky KB/mouse controls & patches to boot.. *ponders* me thinks i'll faithfully stay with consoles for video gaming.. =/ well, i can see this as a potential blessing as well...Khao says it best ~ where computers are concerned, there are 3 types of companies to avoid in life; one is HP, the second is Gateway & the third - Compaq.. *shivers* >.< you would probably have far better chances assembling your own rig instead of getting one of these.. =.

I'm actually running the game on an HP Pavilion perfectly fine, 1024 res, very little slowdown. Didnt even have to add in a video card. They seem fine to me

unless i can find somewhere that i can get on a payment plan im looking at the PS2 launch... X(
Crushinator
Go to best buy and get a Best Buy credit card there...you can probably get about 500+ credit limit on it easy, and then buy a PC there.
Henge

Welcome to the PS2 FFXI waiting club(tried to think of a cooler name, it looked so good in my head.) I jsut got my network addapter today and even though I'm building a new PC with a Flat LCD Moitor and I'd have everything done by Christmas since dad is helping out, I'm still waiting for the PS2 version.
Alisha
1 good thing about waiting is it comes pre-installed on the drive maybee even with all the updates :o
