Okay, I couldnt resist and signed on Xbox Live afterall.
Gamer Tag: KalmElusion Thing is... I linked my tag to the Bungie.net thing for the stats and stuff, but I can't seem to locate my stats when I use the search, logged in or out. But I can see them when I hit "My Stats"... so I'm unsure if I did it right =/ |

The stats don't update immediately, and it seems like they glitch out a bit in comparison to your actual XBL stats, but I think that's just due to the massive amount of players online.

We almost have enough for some 4 on 4 scrimmages. Be a great way to get some strategy down. Just make some arranged games and go to town on all the maps until we all have a great idea of how to work together.

Yeah, I don't know how you are faring Dive, but in the games I've had with fellow ATers, we have great defensive abilities, but our offensive strategy needs some work.
I think we just need to get a better feel for the placement of all the "key" weapons on the maps (rocket, sniper, sword, shotgun) and also know all possible entry points into the enemy bases. Using diverse tactics like coming in thru the roof or flying in with banshees is a great way to throw an otherwise well prepared defene off kilter. And of course regrouping after the squad takes a deathblow is important too. I've seen too many matches start off well, and then fall apart after the first wave of deaths after everyone gets scattered. -------------------- |

You are right about getting the key weapons early. In my experience, the team which secures a Sword, Rocket Launcher, or a perfect sniping spot has taken the map almost everytime. We need to learn these spots and take the them quickly. Planning a great strategy also requires perfect team communication. Too many times I have been in a team where no one talks ever. You have players all over the map with no idea that one of them has the flag/bomb etc.
Taking the offense right away is also key. Take Assault for instance. Many times I have hopped on a Hog and got to the bomb and to the enemy base long before the other team realizes what is happening. If we employ a lightning strike offense, we can score some vital early points. Distraction is another good tactic. Let's look at 1 Flag CTF in Burial Mounds. If we rush the back door with a Hog and maybe the Rocket Launcher, we have a good chance of sneaking in a player the front way. Of course there is the chance of losing the Hog and Launcher but in exchange we score vital early points. Scoring early is also great for team morale. |

Halo 2 XBL autoupdate today, good stuff:
Good thing they addressed that stupid ass bug that didn't let you get Foundation for beating the game. I wonder if it will show up in the ranked playlists, now that everyone has access to it? -------------------- |

Hello my friends!
I signed up last night. My gamertag is unitself. I played two games last night.. 1. Swords game - last place 2. All weapons - 5th place So.. yeah, I'm not a great player. The first game had some "kid" yelling bitch the whole time. Swearing IS fun when mommy is not around! The second game I was in first for about half the game, then I kinda broke down. Fun though! I am using the free 2 month card that came with Halo2 so I don't have a mic yet. I am planing on getting one sometime in January. If anyone wants me on their team just remember that I can't talk to you. I can take orders though, just not give em or call you an ass if you kill me. -------------------- |

Do I have to be on to get the invite or can you send it to me while I'm offline. If I have to be on I'll just get it Saturday night. Also how early are you guys getting on that night? |

Awesome news, SCU! But damnit, go buy a mic! It's critical that not only you hear us, but that you can relay information to us. And these practice sessions are even better when everyone can contribute ideas and strategies.
Zio: I believe I sent you a clan invite the night you registered, even though you weren't on. Check your past messages from me, maybe you skipped it. -------------------- |

This might be an obvious question to ask, but...
You know that little logo that is on our shoulders (Master Chief's that is...) when we play multiplayer? It's also on the Bungie stats site. How do we change that? Mine is a boring number 6. I've seen some very cool ones and a big number 6 isn't one of them. Also. I know that Bungie put in place this Matching System so that we don't get paired with other gamers who are way out of our league, but what is the number based on? I have played 4 games online so far and in every match there have been a few players who simply dominate. Completely dominate. Yeah, I suck, but I didn't think I was this bad. Anyone have any insight? Not in my suckage... but in the way players are matched. -------------------- |
