I work as a security guard for 4 office buildings in the downtown area, betweenthe 4 are about 60 floors. Some nights I'm on patrol and others in operations. I've been with the company for over 4 years and worked at verious other places.

http://www.aruplab.com/ <-- I work for these guys.
Esoteric medical testing on human specimens.
I work in specimen receiving which is basically the low end of the ladder, but it's a good company to work for and I like the job. I work with good people.
Basic description of my job: unload samples from boxes, order the tests the clients want run. Stick a bar code on the paperwork they give us and the sample and get it to the lab where it is tested.
While we do just about every medical test thought possible our retroviral (HIV, Hepititus, Epstein-barr, herpes-simplex) testing is probably the best known and most used.
I work nights, straight 7 days one week, followed by a 7 day off period. Any given night I see a few hundred blood component samples (serum/plasma), a few dozen urine samples, a few Spinal fluid sample, a bone marrow here and there and fecal sample (which ALWAYS come in interesting containers) and viral samples (which...thanks to wonderful people not packing their airborne infectous samples seperate from the rest have exposed me to a fun variety of diseases).
