I saw it this weekend and I have to say that I really liked it. I have heard nothing but so-so reviews, but this series of books are one of the only ones I have ever really enjoyed reading so I was not going to be be swayed. I am glad I didn't listen because I thought it was a really good movie. Sure, you have to be a dork and sure I know most of my liking of the movie was based on nostalgia, but... pffft! It sure makes you feel good when most of the audience claps (along with yourself) when Marvin first appears on screen.
![]() They hit all the good points in the book and I thought it was pretty similar in style to the old BBC TV series. The good part is that they TOTALY left it open to make another movie based on the next book. So, if you're in the mood for a good, fun, dorky good time, go see it. -------------------- ![]() |

it really doesn't much matter to me how much of the script was written by Adams.
what dissapointed me was that "they" took something that was immensly witty and funny and turned it into something dull and incredibly unfunny. |
