It's awesome. I've been playing all day, and I was going to write a post about it's unexceedable awesomeness, but i'm wasting precious Wii time. I hope you understand my position here.

Ok, now that the batteries in my Wii remote have died, let me give you my take on some of the games I have played on this spectacular system.
Red Steel - Personally, I think red steel sucks. I got a little bit into the game, and throughout my play time I had a lot of trouble getting anywhere because the game has a bug where the shooter curser will reset to the middle at random. (during gun fights included.) The story is kind of weak, and the voice acting is very sub par. Conclusion? Dog shit. Enjoy the pre-played bin at gamestop. 2/10 Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Incredible isn't enough to explain how excellent this game really is. For the first time in a Zelda i'm REALLY getting into all of the characters as opposed to the main characters. It has a lot of revisiting features towards Ocarina of time. (Specifically, the music. Some people may not notice, but a few certain parts have the dungeon ocarina songs.) Graphically LoZ is really good for a gamecubes standards, I also realize this game wasn't intended to have Wii graphics since this game was originally meant to be a Gamecube game. (in other words, just added the control scheme.) I've already put in about 27 hours into LoZ, and I shall continue to do more tomorrow! Edit: Oh yah, the water temple does it again! 10/10 Trauma Center: Second Opinion - Its just a remake of the DS game really, with a few extra missions. That doesn't mean it's not worth playing however! I think the game has much better handling on the wii than it did on the DS, as you aren't spending any time rushing back and forth to pick up your tools. (the nunchuck takes care of that.) Better visuals to see what you're doing, very fun game. 7/10 1-3: Crap. Congratulations on your new coaster. 4-6: Ok. Better for renting. 7-8: Good! Good for one play through, not always a whole lot of replayability. 9: Excellent game! Worth owning. 10: A must have. Nuff said. I nearly forgot! The system itself is incredible. I was very pleased the way the system ended up the way it did, because I was very sceptic about it for a long time. It's like playing video games again for the first time, because it's an all new experience, and a fun one! My only pet peeve is what brought me here today. My Wii remote batteries have run out, so now I must wait until morning to get more. :( Until a charger is released (if) this is going to get costly. |

QUOTE(Wiryu @ Nov 21 2006, 05:04 AM) It's like playing video games again for the first time, because it's an all new experience, and a fun one! I agree. I cant wait this weekend, since I will be picking up more games and some virtual console games. I need to pick up an extra remote and nunchuck, and classic controller which will be difficult since they are sold out everywhere. Hopefully, black friday will bring a new shipment. Good thing I can use a gamecube controller with some of the Virtual Console games. I'm going to download Mario 64, Bonk, Altered Beast, and Sonic. But I love the controller. It is so easy to pick up, and start playing. What I love is the remote and nunchuck is free floating. What I mean is it allows you to be more active while playing a game because each hand is not at rest while your fingers are doing work. That is why I stopped playing console games, I would be sitting down playing them and I would get too tired to finish the game because all I'm doing is pressing buttons with my hands and arms in the same position. Its a blood flow thing I believe. I'm in the same position for the duration of the game, and my body starts to relax. For me it really makes a difference that my left hand is free from my right hand when playing a game. T he way you play games on the controller makes things simple so you just jump in and play without thinking about what you have to press. And the remote works just like a mouse that is in your hand. As for Zelda, I can see myself playing this one over again. Hopefully there is some type of extra quest, or remix mode. If not Nintendo can always add it later through WiiConnect24. Oooo and I like the new villain, very different for a Zelda game. Dude reminds me of the Mouth of Sauron from Lord of the Rings.
