Its an engineering feature to lure the enemies into a false state of mind. Apparently the sound has a psychological effect of relaxing the enemy. Or so this was what Hideo Kojima stated in an interview I read in some magazine last year. I was a bit disappointed in they didn't show any game play vids or real new footage but the ending Raiden sequence was really dope. I always wondered why people didn't seem to like him.

QUOTE(AC9breaker @ Jun 7 2007, 04:51 PM) Its an engineering feature to lure the enemies into a false state of mind. Apparently the sound has a psychological effect of relaxing the enemy. Or so this was what Hideo Kojima stated in an interview I read in some magazine last year. This wouldn't surprise me, given the amount of painstaking research that has gone into each game. At first I was like "wtf" when I first heard those bovine sounds, but now it makes sense. -------------------- "Computers are incredibly fast, accurate and stupid.
