Yeesh... I was such a slacker about finishing this one. I had the main image of Rinn and Sato done almost two weeks ago. o.O; (I hate backgrounds so much. >.<)

Anyways, I finally decided to get off my butt and finish this one up before the season passed. ;p Rinn and Sato are all dressed up as pirates for Halloween! Did I mention I hate drawing backgrounds? Hence the cheesy gradient bg. -.-;; Hey, at least I used fall colors. ;p

Nice pose, Rinn!! I think the background looks nice, it really helps her stand out.

Now for my customary critique.

The Durandal looks like it's floating, not actually being gripped in hand. Next time, wrap the fingers a little more tightly around the handle. The other hand is a little funky looking as well, again foreshortening and perspective is a bitch when doing "hand on hips" type stances. Erm, no shadow on the Durandal. -.o

If you have someone who wouldn't mind modeling for you, you could try taking pics and working from them. They would definitely help solidify any future projects.

Don't worry, though. Hands and feet are probably THE hardest parts of the body to draw.
