I'm getting an X-Box!, Any suggestions for some GOOD games?

I've heard alot of great things about some games, but I'm not sure which ones to choose. Does anyone know of any good games to keep me busy for a while? I'm into fighting and shooting games mostly, but I'm willing to try anything.
