QUOTE (DJ_Donkey @ May 23 2004, 03:04 PM) | After a bunch of trial and errors registering and a bunch of *ahem* program downloads... After like hours and hours of downloading... and like 15-30 mins of patches, I FINALLY got to playing the game. |
So let me get this straight, all you have to do is download this game and pay for the subscription?

You have to sign up first in the PSOBB site. You can download the game first if you want but you'll still have to register to play.
Beta is totally free.

It could mean that the server is under maintainence (which happens ALOT, it seems that they have daily maintainence). Have you downloaded the patches? Are you really sure you input all your info right? You may want to wait after the game asks you to press enter at the ToA screen. This is where the game downloads all the character info and whatnot. Only other problem I ran into is the game seems to hang when I load up the game. I'm basically looking at a black screen with the hourglass cursor. And of course, NEVER press alt+tab as it will crash the game. |
Yep, I know I put in my info right because if I didn't, I'd get the "check password" message. As for downloading character data, I have yet to make one.

I'm now on PSOBB. A full week of on and off torrenting finally came to some good use.

That's just a torrent client.
I wanted the actual torrent to download PSOBB. Sorry if I wasn't clear

Crush, you have to run that exe. It'll also extract the torrent for PSOBB. Double click on it and it'll download.

Ah ok. I popped it open and it started installing the client, and I was like WTF.
