I agree that there is at least one big character surprise left, but I don't think it would be Captain Falcon, they'll show off another new character to the series.

One can already assume that the Cap, Jigglypuff, and Luigi will return, as they are "smash staples." as it were. Since they are traditionally hidden chars, there's no reason to reveal them now, if they were going to do it they would have definetly shown at least one of them by now. I also won't be surprised if they bring back Ganondorf, Mewtwo, and Falco as well.

The SSBM fan community are nuts. With all this leak roster mess and prophets it tells me people have nothing better with their time. Really the intelligence level over there is insanely low. Check out the voice actors. Now I do not consider imdb as a source of video game news. However, it is a sort of resume for actors and voice actors that shows the work they have done. How reliable is it? I use imdb a lot, and in my experience the only time it is not reliable is when a project has not reached production. Like the new Star Trek film had Matt Damon attached but that was before there was a script and it was just something being throw around the studio. However, I have found it is quite accurate when a project is in production, near completion, or completed. Especially when you want to see uncredited cameos in movies. Anyway. . .

They have Leon Kennedy, and Krystal listed there. I think that is a significant clue to a roster since I trust imdb. Like I said its sort of a resume why would voice work be listed if it was not done? I mean Leon seems out there. If it was just someone updating it to provide fake info why not have it based the popular characters you see on "fake" leaks. IMDB does have a validation process.

Well its official. It was delayed until March 9th. That is a bit extreme considering the game was pushed back only a week in Japan. Maaaaaaaaaan. Oh well gives me time to play Devil May Cry 4 without distraction.

Sheik wasn't in TP, so it would make more sense to cut her than someone like Captain Falcon. Seriously why is Samurai Goroh in the game without Falcon being confirmed yet?

Also, the third third-party character should be Phoenix Wright, though Leon would be pretty awesome too.

I have heard that the delay, both US and Japan, were to help them manfacture more copies of the game, they had apparently underproduced it or something. I also think the extended US delay is to make sure they have the online infrastructure complete so the millions of copies it sells on the first day don't take down the internet.

Possible spoilers? This is what the intertubes in Japan are saying, that there are a bunch of characters unlocked by beating subspace emissary mode. If this is all true, then the roster from the video on the last page would be remarkably close (except for Bowser Jr, but maybe he's there and no ones found him yet)

Anyway I think I know who I am going to main now. Lucario. I love his fighting style from the videos I have seen. He replaced Mewtwo, but he is a lot faster, has martial art style moves, and his special movie when charged fully goes straight more like a Ryu/Ken fireball.

Its kinda dumb that all 3 Starfox characters use the Landmaster as their final smash. Is Wolf's moveset any different from Fox/Falco, or is just another weight/speed adjustment on the same character type?

My main has always been fox because he was faster than falco, but i'm veeeery tempted to try wolf.

EDIT: The whole clones thing has never bothered me. I think we have enough different fighting styles that I can mix things up. Clones always make for some really interesting/awesome event matches, which is what I enjoy a lot during the 1p crap.

One other thing we can do is use an Xbox live game and just set up a private game lobby to chat in (like halo 3 for example.) Just have the people playing smash use their XBL headsets while you play and have the xbox idle.

Anyways, yeah this is nintendo we're talking about. They are adamantly opposed to people communicating in videogames, so there's no in-game communication whatsoever.

Also.. BIG FUCKING NEWS. One of my friends (Naba, if some of you have played with him before) was able to get Smash Brawl early, so I just got done with a 4 hour multiplayer smash bonanza! FUCK YEH the game is as amazing as you could have hoped. Some quick impressions while i'm still headrushed from playing it:

• The whole game seems a bit faster than Melee.
• Stages are WAY dynamic, half the time i don't know WTF was going on because the stages change so much.
• Porkopolis (earthbound) stage is HUUUUUGE. Makes hyrule castle look like final destination.
• The final smashes rock, as soon as that smash ball appears everyone starts going for it.
• You can still unlock characters by just playing the melee mode, they're not exclusive to the single player.
• We unlocked Ness and Marth while we were playing.
• Zero suit samus is FIERCE, her whip gives her insane range. Regular Samus' final smash is epic instant win material, but ZS Samus' is pretty weak.
• Pokemon trainer is awesome, although I couldn't figure out where the "fatigue meter" was. I didn't notice any decrease in performance if I just stuck to one or switched them frequently.
• The bomb from star fox is one of the items (USE BOMBS WISELY!)
• All the characters have english voices. Samus, Pokemon Trainer (sounds like ash from the cartoon), Ike, etc they all actually talk in english not moonspeak like in Melee.
• Pikachu seems smaller now compared to the other characters, its easier for him to duck under attacks and weave around.
• Link is a lot stronger now with his attacks, Samus seems a bit weaker in the attack dept but faster as far as combos and stuff goes.
• Ice Climbers don't suck as much now!
• You can walk around while shooting the super scope
• the light saber seems to get much longer when you charge it up now
• the home run bat "wind up" time is a lot longer, and you are extremely vulnerable during it
• It goes without saying but all the music is GODLY
• The game has its own friend code, seperate from your Wii's :(

We had to cut our playing session short because Naba's wife started going into labor... but shiiiit now I'm even more hyped than i was before. ONE MORE DAY!
